2nd International Forum on Computational Law Digital Economy Governance and Legal Tech Innovation-Call for Papers

INTRODUCTION

The Institute for Studies on Artificial Intelligence and Law of Tsinghua University (THUIAIL) and Tsinghua Law School  are delighted to invite submissions for the 2nd International Forum on Computational Law: Digital Economy Governance and Legal Tech Innovation to be held on September 21-22, 2019 at 107 Conference Hall, Law Library Building, Tsinghua University, Beijing, China.

Development of the digital economy and technological innovation represented by the Internet and the new generation of information technologies have created a series of ethic and legal issues (e.g. personal information protection, data utilization, cyber security, governance of e-commerce platform, AI and Law, as well as Legal Tech).

To address these issues, THUIAIL and Tsinghua Law School organize this Forum aiming to provide international perspectives and insights on legal-based governance in digital economy and latest developments of Legal Tech. This Forum is a continuation of the 1st International Forum on Computational Law: Discipline Development and Talent Cultivation in the year of 2018, the full program of which can be found via https://cloud.tsinghua.edu.cn/f/912f1f9e399a47dbb12e/.

KEY TOPICS

Participation in the Forum is open to researchers with diverse backgrounds, including but not limited to professors, scholars, policy makers, experts, entrepreneurs, etc.

Participants are invited to submit abstracts (no less than 800 words) on topics including but are not limited to:

Discipline and development of Computational Law

Theories of rule of law in the digital economy

Data utilization and cyber security

Protection of personal information

Governance of e-commerce platform

Internet-based competition law

Economic crimes in the digital age

Governance of Artificial Intelligence and other new technologies

Technology innovation in the judicial system or the legal industry

Big data mining in legal areas and quantitative analysis of law

Framework of global governance in cyberspace

If you are interested in attending this Forum, Please submit a title, an abstract (no less than 800 words) of your speech and a personal profile via email to computational_law@tsinghua.edu.cn before July 22, 2019. We are very much looking forward to receiving your submissions.

Travel expenses will be reimbursed for those selected to present their work on the Forum.
